TIAW Global Forum of Women was held in Washington, DC. on October 17th-19th, 2012
Under the overall theme “Connecting Women – Empowering Change”.
This event consisted of panel discussions on various topical issues with a results-oriented objective, and included presentations of key strategies based on the experiences of senior businesswomen, many of them award winners. More than 250 women leaders from around the world attended the Forum.
Elena Fedyashina, Executive Director of the Committee of 20 was invited to be a panelist on Women in Leadership session. She delivered a speech on the topic “Mentoring as a tool for women professional growth”.
One of TIAW’s flagship activities is the annual Global Forum and World of Difference Awards. Each year, 100 women from around the world are chosen to receive an award in recognition of their efforts to economically empower women under the TIAW World of Difference 100 Award. In 2012 Elena Proskyrnya was selected as a recipient of the Award.
